ROYAL WATER-LILY (a Spring post)

Every time I visit my blog statistics I get unexpected surprises. Today I saw the blog feed (Feedburner) has a lot of subscribers! The second surprise was that the country with most subscribers is Brazil!! Oh... how I'm dreaming about visiting that amazing country!
My boyfriend and I are big fans of MPB (Musica Popular Brasileira) and while we listen to it we fantasize about spending time in some beautiful brazilian spot.

Today I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all readers around the world following The Present Tense.
This blog began as an experimental outlet to share the things I make and find (here and there) with the people. During the process it has given me a lot of satisfactions. The biggest among all of them is making contact and getting to know wonderful new people. Thank you all! :)

But now let's go for something completely different...
In this post are some 1851 Victoria Regia illustrations from the Kew Gardens archive.
Have a great Spring!
